YEAR 4 ON TOP OF THE WORLD!

Year 4 pupils spent yesterday morning exploring our school community and local area. First, we had a walk up to Holy Trinity Church to see Father Damian who was kind enough to show us around his beautiful church and explained the history behind the building and what it is used for now. Then, we continued our walk up to Sedgley Beacon where we felt like we were on top of the world! After spotting all the sights from this amazing natural landscape and important, local landmark, children spent some time looking for fossils and curiosities before walking down the hill back to school.

The behaviour and enthusiasm of the children was outstanding! They were an absolute pleasure to take out. Most of them had never been to the Beacon before and were amazed by what you could see from the top of it, and so have vowed to return with their families!

We realised just how lucky we are to live in the middle of such a special community.
