SPRING VALE ROCK NUMBER DAY!
A big well done to all our children who have made an amazing effort today to come to school dressed as a number or a Times Table Rockstar as part of our NSPCC Number Day celebrations! Throughout the day, children have been completing a range of maths activities and challenges based around numbers.

YEAR 4 MASTER MUSICIANS!
A huge well done to all our Year 4 pupils for their fantastic performances in the Brass concerts this week and last. All children sang a range of songs, and played their trumpets which they have been learning since September as part of the Wolverhampton Music School Wider Opportunities Programme. Our Year 6 Maths detectives!

CHRISTMAS SAFETY STAR WINNER!
Congratulations to Ellie-Mai Green in Year 4 Buttercups who won the West Midlands Fire Service Christmas Card competition just before we broke up for the Christmas holidays ! Year 6 sing for Christmas!

LYKOS CHOIR SINGS MERRY CHRISTMAS AT THE MANDERS' CENTRE!
On Friday afternoon, several children from the Year 4 Christmas choir represented our school, along with children from other schools in our Lykos community, and treated shoppers to a medley of Christmas carols in Wolverhampton Manders' Centre. Year 6 Step into History with VR
This week, Year 6 took their learning to a whole new level as they explored the life of Anne Frank through virtual reality. Using VR headsets, pupils were able to step inside the Secret Annexe, gaining a powerful and immersive understanding of Anne’s world during World War II. Parliament Week
Woodpeckers had a debate about which biscuit should be banned from biscuit Friday? There were lots of fors for banning rich teas, lots of against banning for bourbons but the class were divided when it came to custard creams. Year 5 take on a Maths Challenge!
This week, a group of Year 5 pupils visited Wolverhampton Girls High School to take part in an exciting maths challenge, where they worked in pairs to solve a series of challenging puzzles. Who Inspires Us in Year 2?
In Year 2, we’ve been learning about people who inspire others through kindness, courage, and faith. We explored figures like Mother Teresa, who cared for the poor, and Martin Luther King Jr., who worked for equality. We also looked at our role models in the school and at home. Year 1 Road Safety Visit

Year 6 Residential Whitemoor Lakes
Both Year 6 classes (Magpies and Robins) enjoyed an unforgettable three-day residential at Whitemoor Lakes, packed with adventure, teamwork and plenty of laughs. Fabulous Fruit Tasting
Our Year 1 children explored a rainbow of fruits for their Design Technology topic on fruit kebabs. They loved the sweet strawberries and juicy oranges — but the lemons were a big surprise! “Sour!” was the word of the afternoon. What a zesty way to learn about flavours and healthy eating!

Yum! Yum!
To celebrate Bonfire Night Reception children made chocolate apples. We used the microwave to melt the chocolate and then dipped our apples into the chocolate liquid. We then decorated them with coloured sprinkles. They were delicious!
